Aavin markets flexi milk packets among potential customers

According to a new marketing initiative by Aavin, 225 ml flexi milk packets are to be sold for Rs 10. Aavin has been sending marketing executive teams to meet the customers at their home and distribute pamphlets. They will be selling out these flexi milk packets for those who need. There is good demand for these smaller packs. In a day, about 6,000 litres of these milk packets with 4.5 percent fat are being sold in the city.
During the last weekend, Aavin executives visited the slum clearance board tenants and met residents there. They encompassed areas including Kannagi Nagar, Semmancheri, etc where people showed very positive response to these mini flexi packs from Aavin, said the Managing Director of Aavin, C. Kamaraj.
Making a follow-up to their marketing efforts, they visited the same locations again on Tuesday morning and sold these flexi milk packets. The Aavin MD added that they are looking for all possible ways to make these flexi milk packets reach the customers in a regular day-to-day basis.
Likewise, half a litre flexi milk packets are also being planned by the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation. These will be priced Rs 26 in areas including Nanganallur, Thiruvanmiyur and Besant Nagar.
This will be done on 3 Sundays. The shelf life of UHT milk is 90 days. For customers who don’t have enough time to pick up the milk packets in a daily basis, and for those who need pure cow’s milk and for those who need milk to be carried with them for long journeys, these packets will be of help, Mr Kamaraj added.
