Widespread rains to persist in Tamil Nadu

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has warned that the widespread rains will persist today (Saturday, 9th September).
An official from the Chennai Meteorological Centre explained that a new depression zone has formed and stabilised in the upper layers of the atmosphere from central Maharashtra to South Tamil Nadu. Because of this, there are prospects of widespread rains will persist in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. There may be heavy rains in 1 or 2 places.
The Chennai Metro City will remain cloudy.It may rain with thunder in a few places in the evening or night.
