Online Registration facility starts from today in 41 sub-registrar offices

The online registration facility is being introduced from today in 41 sub-registrar offices throughout Tamil Nadu including K. Saathanur, Trichy district.

The other places where this facility is introduced in 41 sub-registrar offices in Tamil Nadu include Pudhukottai District Viralimalai, Karur District Kulithalai, Vallam in the domain of the Thanjavur Department of Registration, Thiruvidaimarudhur, Madhukur, and Sirkazhi.

With this arrangement, each of the districts in the state will have 1 sub-registrar office each with the online registration facility from today (1st August).

When enquiring for more details in the circles of the Department of registration, it was clarified that the registration on bond papers can be done only on specified and approved sub-registrar office. Because of this procedure, people encounter hardship right from travelling long distances to spending time and money. This drawback resulted in considerable loss of revenue in the department of registration.

Keeping this in consideration, the state government has introduced the facility of online registration in order to simplify the procedure as well as prevent any possible mal-operations.

With this online facility, it is possible to register the property in any part of the state in any of the above 41 sub-registrar offices. The staff of the registrar offices have been given sufficient training.

Presently, along with the online registration facility, the prevailing registration procedure will also continue. Gradually, in a couple of months, the registration procedure will be 100% switched over to the online mode.

The state government has planned to introduce the online registration facility in all the sub-registrar offices in the state. Once this is completed, it would become possible to check any of the records in a given sub-registrar office at any other sub-registrar office.

The officials informed that this facility would save considerable waiting time, the delay in the official procedure, the multiple travels to get all necessary documents will all be reduced and also, the scope of any mal-operation would be absolutely removed.
