Chennai rain update for June 19th to 20th early morning

Models have never been so consistent about tonight. For last 10 days if i can remember, they are showing confirmed rains. Lets hope the late blooming storms do their trick of if there is some heat, we can see the Sea Breeze moving in too.
The pattern of the rains has been one in the evening if Sea Breeze front moves in interaction with the incoming storms or it has been the mid-night storms forming late in the in lands and moving towards the coast.
Dont expect semma semma rains. it will be normal convective rains but expecting it to be little widespread.
Keep an eye on Madurai-Sivanaga-Pudukottai stretch too. Something been shown steadily there for today evening / night.
Lets hope, today we succeed. If the interpretation fails, dont pounce on me (just a caution). Here is the ECMWF model showing intense storms over Chennai for tonight.
