Soon, use mobile phones and Aadhar card for air travel

Very soon, you will be able to make use of your mobile phone and Aadhar card during air travel, setting aside all paper works. This is soon to be possible as the government is planning to roll out digital system for entry into airport and subsequent journey.
As per the digi yatra initiative, digitalization of boarding pass and security interactions by the civil aviation ministry is likely. According to Jayant Sinha, the Minister of State for Civil Aviation, the ministry is planning initiatives for ensuring the entire air travel experience to be digitalized.
The payment is digitalized, boarding and all security interactions are digitalized. The digi yatra concept is all about it, he added. Sinha further stated that under this initiative, no paper works is needed and the identification of traveler will be done using Aadhar number and other documents including passports.
The minister further added that there is a working group established. They are confident about rolling out some of these in the following months.
