TNPSC: Candidates may apply for Group-2 examinations

TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) has made the press release for Group-2 tests to be conducted.
In this press report, the examination schedules for Group-2A posts (Non-interview posts) for the year 2017-18 have been released on 27th April 2017.
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates.
Total vacancies: 1953
The posts include assistants, accountants, personal assistants, stenographer typists, etc., to work in the various state government department of ministries and in the Tamil Nadu Secretariat and the state legislative assembly.
Qualifications:
For assistants and accountants, candidates must be a graduate in any faculty and should be graduates in law.
For personal assistants and stenographer/typists, candidates must be graduates in any faculty and should have skills in stenography and typing.
The last date for applying: 26th May 2017
Date of examination: 6th August 2017
Number of examination centres: 116
Applying procedure:
In the case of candidates belonging to backwards communities, backward Muslims, most backward communities, ex-military personnel who had exhausted the allowed 3 times exemption from application fees, they must pay the application fee this time. In case they violate this only 3-times exemption rule and indulge in lying, stringent legal action will be taken as detailed in the guidance.
The candidates are advised to apply as early as possible without waiting for the last date to approach. This is requested because during the last minute extra work of receiving a large number of applications on the last few days may lead to delay in submission as well as possible technical snags. TNPSC would not be responsible especially in the case of technical snags preventing the candidates from applying if it occurs during the last few days.
