4% DA hike for State government employees

It has been announced that the DA (Dearness Allowance) of the state government employees, teachers, pensioners and family pensioners has been increased by 4 percent effective from 1st January.
State government employees will get a hike ranging between Rs. 244 and Rs. 3080. Pensioners and Family pensioners will get a hike ranging between Rs.122 and Rs. 1540.
The payment of the increase in DA from January to April will be paid as arrears. From the month of May, it will be added in the salary.
This will benefit 18 Lakhs state government employees, pensioners, and family pensioners. The state government will incurred an annual expense of Rs. 986.77 Crores.
