Meteorological centre: Summer impact will quite severe today

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has warned that the temperature today (Monday, 24th April) is likely to touch 111 Degrees Fahrenheit and the summer impact will be quite severe. Hence, it has advised the public not to venture outside during the midday.
The severity of summer has been increasing every passing day in Tamil Nadu.
Especially, hot winds have blown across over the last few days in Vellore, Salem, Trichy, Nagappattinam, Madurai, Karur, Cuddalore, Chennai Meenambakkam, Tirupathur, Parangippettai, Palayamkottai, and other areas.
The temperature crossed 100 Degrees Fahrenheit. Though it rained lightly in a few places, the hot winds blow across.
The Meteorological Centre informed that a maximum temperature of 111 Degrees Fahrenheit is likely to be recorded today.
It has strongly advised that the public should not venture out in the hot sun during mid day.
