Chennai City will struggle to cross 40 C today as sea breeze is expected to set in early, just like yesterday, when sea breeze set in around 11.30 am. Even though it`s may not cross 40 C, it is still called a Heat Wave. Here is the reason (Please see the images attached) and please don`t wrongly mis-interpret the Government warning as 45-48 C heat wave. These msgs are created by some useless people, just to strike fear among common people. Please don`t forward the 45-48 C temp warnings to anyone.
What should one do? It`s going to be another over 40+C for City outskirts
It going to be hot day in the interior part of city and also the interior parts of the state. Chennai city areas which are far away from sea (because Sea breeze angle is such that its going to struggle to reach much deeper into the city) are surely going to see another over 40+C day .Whenever u step out, please do carry an umbrella or wear a cap and don`t let the sun light to hit directly in your head. You may get dehydrated. This will mostly do and nothing else to fear about.
Chennai`s all time High Temp of 45 C was recorded during May 2003. So please ignore this 45-48 C crap which is being spread like fire.
