ICF shows 14 percent increase in turn out

From Sri Lanka, an order for supplying 78 DEMUs and 160 coaches is sent to the Integral Coach Factory (ICF). On Saturday, the General manager of IFC, K. Mani affirmed the same. In 2016-17, a total turnout of 2227 coaches was produced which is 14 percent higher than the previous year.
Addressing the 62nd railway week celebrations that took place at Ambedkar Arangam in Ayanavaram that had Kiran Bedi, the lieutenant governor or Puducherry as the Chief Guest, Mani said ICF had rolled out 316 Deen Dayalu coaches, 48 Antodaya coaches and 1 trans-view tourism coach in 2016-17. The Tejas high-speed LHB premium coaches and Anubhuti luxury LHB coaches are also to be launched soon, he added. 15 more coaches will also be launched for Nilgiri Mountain Railway and in the 3rd phase, 535 coaches and 16 rakes are to be launched for the Kolkata metro.
