Chennai Meteorological Centre: Next 4 days will be hotter

The Chennai Meteorological centre has informed that the intensity of heat would be even more in the next 4 days in the interior districts of Tamil Nadu.
An official explained that a low-pressure zone formed over the Southeast Bay of Bengal on 13th April. It developed into a depression zone and then transformed into a cyclone yesterday (Sunday, 16th April). This cyclone is named Marudha.
However, there would be no harmful effects in the state of Tamil Nadu due to Marudha cyclone. As this depression zone had absorbed all the moisture content in the coastal area, the humidity in the atmosphere over Tamil Nadu has lessened. This has led to higher intensity of heat in Tamil Nadu. This trend of hotter climate will continue for the next 4 days.
However, due to the thermal convection, there are light prospects of light rain in a few places in the interior districts of Tamil Nadu today (Monday, 17th April). Dry weather will prevail in other areas.
