Applications for H1-B visas for the year 2018 can be made from 3rd April

The application forms for obtaining H1-B visa (which is sought by Indian Information Technology companies and Professionals to take up jobs in the USA) for the year 2018 can be submitted from 3rd April.
Unlike earlier procedures, the final dates for submitting applications for American citizenship, and Immigration Services Council H1-B Visas have not been announced yet.
When will the department of American Citizenship and Immigration Services start receiving applications 5 working days in a week?
The department of American Citizenship and Immigration Services has been receiving well over the fixed maximum of 85000 applications for H1-B Visas over the last few years.
Out of this maximum 85000 applications, 65000 H1-B Visas are allotted for the General Category and the balance 20000 will be allotted for foreign students pursuing post graduation or doctorate courses.
Exemption:
It is notable that for the applicants who are coming for research work or jobs in Science Institutes are exempt from this upper limit set for H1-B Visas.
Premium H1-B Visa:
It is worth noting that the department of American Citizenship and Immigration Services has put an interim ban on Premium H1-B Visas for 6 months.
However, this ban does not have any bearing on the usual normal procedure for H1-B Visa applications.
The White House has just informed that this is a part of the detailed revision of immigration rules modifications.
The dates for 2018 applications:
The department of American Citizenship and Immigration Services will start receiving applications for H1-B Visas from 3rd April.
Further, all applications for H1-B Visas submitted before 3rd April for the year 2018 will be canceled.
