Chennai Port latest accomplishment: 33840 tons of goods handled in a single day

The Chennai Port has accomplished a new achievement by handling a record-breaking 33840 tons of goods.
A brief on the press release by the Chennai Port regarding this: A ship, M V Quinn Hua Shan, arrived at Chennai Port from a foreign country carrying limestone weighing 33840 tons. This heavy luggage was removed from the ship in a single day with the use of the mobile crane in the port.
The previous record for handling the maximum weight was accomplished on 16th December 2016 when 32483 tons of goods were handles.
The latest record weighed 1357 toms more as compared to the previous record.
The Head of the Chennai Port P. Ravindran congratulated and complimented the officials and the staff of the Chennai Port on this accomplishment.
