Are the local elections getting postponed again?

It is gathered that the State Election Commission intends to postpone the dates of local elections citing the ongoing school public examinations.
The Chennai High Court had ordered the State Election Commission that the local elections must be conducted before 14th May.
However, the state election commission has presently not focused on conducting the local elections.
Meanwhile, it has been announced by the State School Education Board that the results of the +2 Public Examinations and 10th Standard Public Examinations will be released on 12th May and 19th May respectively.
The state election commission is now exploring the possibility of postponing conducting the local elections citing the Public Examination result release dates as a reason.
