YouTube streams 1 billion hours of video every day

Every day, about a billion hours of videos get streamed on Google-owned online viewing destination, YouTube, says the platform on Monday. The achievement was revealed with privilege by the vice president of engineering of YouTube, Cristos Goodrow in his online post.
 
Interestingly, it would consume nearly 1,00,000 years for an individual to watch the entire one billion hours of video on YouTube - that’s astonishing, isn’t it?
 
Online platforms like Google Facebook, Twitter and all others are targeting to absorb more audience and this result in steep increase of online video consumption.
 
There prevailed a challenge with live streaming on Facebook and Twitter. Resolving this, the video platform, YouTube started allowing broadcast by popular online video personalities.
 
About 6 years ago, YouTube had started allowing live streaming of videos from computers. In fact, the US presidential debates were broadcast online. On social networking platforms including Facebook and Twitter, this broadcasting facility is already made available on mobile.
 
In its January report, Alphabet, the parent company of search engine giant Google, stated that the profit in its past three months has ramped up with YouTube mobile search and video sharing.
