Winter season will end during the last week of February

The northeast monsoon withdrew on 5th January and from that day the winter season began. Initially there was less cold and later on it became very cold. The temperature came down. At Ooty the temperature is 8 degrees Celsius and there is freezing cold. Similarly the temperature in many places came down drastically.
In the recent times, people are feeling the cold very much. S. Balachandran, Director, Area Cyclone Warning Centre, Chennai while speaking about this said: Winter climate will be from the beginning of January to the end of February. This year, the temperatures in northern parts of Tamil Nadu have come down by 1 or 2 degrees Celsius. People are feeling the cold in the mornings.
