Railway Minister launches IRCTC Rail Connect App

Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on Tuesday released the new passenger mobile application named `IRCTC Rail Connect app`.
Faster ticket booking from across the country will now be possible with the app. The app is intended to give its users a simplified, user friendly and convenient way to book train tickets. The app is built based on next generation e-ticketing system.
IRCTC will make the formal unveiling of IRCTC Rail Connect App will to meet increase passenger demands. The mobile app comes with a number of new features to book tickets faster and easier.
Furthermore, the app will be synched with the existing ticketing website which the current app lacks in. Searching for trains, booking tickets, checking existing reservations, and cancellation will all be possible with utmost convenience. Journey alerts to those who have booked tickets is yet another plus. Passenger details will be saved and stored in the app so that inconvenience gets eliminated at the time of consecutive ticket booking.
