It had been announced earlier that the CBSE Public Examinations for 10th and 12th Standards are scheduled to start on 1st March.
However, the Legislative Assembly elections for 5 states in the country - Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur - are also scheduled in the same time, during the period from 4th February to 8th March.
So, as the elections are being conducted, CBSE examinations are being postponed by a week.
Now, CBSE has announced that as per the revised dates, the public examinations for the 10th and 12th Standards will start the next day after the elections are completed, on 9th March.
The CBSE Public Examinations for 10th Standard gets completed on 10th April. The CBSE 12th standards Public Examinations get completed on 29th April.
1667573 students will be writing the 10th Standard CBSE examinations throughout the country.1098420 students will be writing the CBSE 12th Standard Public Examinations.
CBSE has informed that with this postponed dates, the students can undertake writing the Public Examinations without any disturbances.
