Continuous holidays to enthrall everyone in 2017

Most of the government holidays next year fall following weekends and this is set to excite all working men and women as they can enjoy continuous holidays. On the whole, 14 holidays fall next to weekend days this year. In particular, there are nine government holidays in the months of August and October.

26th January, Republic Day falls on a Thursday. Those working out of station or elsewhere from their hometown, will probably take off on Friday as well and enjoy four consecutive holidays. 24th February, Mahashivarathri falls on a Friday 13th March, Holi festival falls on a Monday following weekend holidays. 

On 28th March is Padwa festival that is celebrated in North India. Rama Navami festival falls on 4th April which falls to be on Monday On 13th of the same April month is Vaishaki festival and on 14th April is Ambedkar Jeyanthi and Good Friday. The same day is celebrated as Tamil New Year in Tamil Nadu as well as Vishu in Kerala. This will be followed by weekend holidays on 15th and 16th. 

Easter falls on 16th April. And May day falls on Monday.Ramzan festival is on 26th June which is Monday.In August, Krishna Jeyanthi falls on 14th of the month which is a Monday. Yet again, on 15th August is Independence Day, and again on 17th of the same month is Parsi New Year. After this, on 19th and 20th, there will be weekend holidays. If one takes leave on 16th and 18th, it is possible to enjoy 9 days continuous holidays in the month of August.On 25th August is Vinayagar Chathurthi.

Gandhi Jeyanthi falls on 2nd October following Saturday and Sunday on 30th September and 1st October. Following 14th and 15th October weekend holidays, Monday, the 16th October is Dussehra festival.On 17th October is Naraga Chathuthi and on 18th October is Diwali. On 19th is Baliprathipada festival. 1st December is Milad Un-Nabi. On 25th December is Christmas.
