Food minister R Kamaraj ensures full stock in PDS shops for Deepavali and monsoon

Tamil Nadu food minister R Kamaraj on Thursday held a review meeting with the civil supply authorities regarding supply of food products during the Deepavali festival and north east monsoon period.
Food minister R Kamaraj had directed the department officials to stock rice and kerosene at outlets that caters to consumers staying in the low lying areas, in view of the impending monsoon.
Special officials have been appointed to check distribution of PDS items at outlets, The minister also requested consumers to prefer complaints about the PDS with the helpline (044-28592828) at the commissionerate of civil supplies, and help lines (9445190660, 9445190661, 9445190662) at the directorate of civil supplies corporation.
