20 percent Deepavali bonus for Tamil Nadu Government employees

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has announced 20 percent Deepavali Bonus and some benevolence amount for the state government employees.
As per the announcement made by Jayalalithaa today (Wednesday, 28th September), all Tamil Nadu government employees will get 20 percent Deepavali bonus.
In addition, 11.67 percent benevolence amount will also be paid.All C and D category state government employees are entitled to receive this bonus and benevolence amount.
A concession will be made about the current maximum salary limit.
The state government employees will receive a minimum bonus payment of Rs. 8400/- and a maximum of Rs. 16800/-.367887 state government employees will benefit by this.
A total of Rs. 476.71 Crores is paid by the state government towards this payment.
The state government employees in the departments of Electricity, Transport and Consumer Goods Trade will all get 20 percent bonus.
The state government employees of housing, metro water distribution (MWSSB) and sewage water removal will receive 10 percent bonus.
The C and D category employees of drinking water drainage department will receive 8.33 percent bonus.
