Mercedes-Benz unveils its self-driving Future Bus

Mercedes-Benz has designed a driverless bus which can travel upto 20 kms.The bus has been tested on a 12 mile (20 km) route through Amsterdam in the Netherlands, where it performed without any problems. To make the trip, the bus had to stop at traffic lights, pass through tunnels, and navigate among pedestrians. This is a big win for the program, which owes its origins to the transport truck-focused Highway Pilot program debuted by Mercedes two years ago
The bus runs without the need for a driver, using Daimler`s City Pilot technology.
This includes 10 cameras and long and short-range radar systems which help the bus to find its position on the road, and interact with its surroundings.
