No Change with Half Yearly Examination

The quarterly, half yearly and annual examinations for schools in 32 districts across Tamil Nadu is presently taking place. This being the scenario, if the half yearly examination for schools in 4 districts of TN gets postponed, it may affect the education of children and hence, the directorate of school education has decided to conduct exams as per plans.
Circulars are rolled out to schools ordering them all to conduct half yearly exams as per the timetable prepared earlier. As per this, the exam for 11th and 12th students will begin on 7th of December and for 10th standard students, the exam will begin on 9th of December. Similarly, the exam for 9th students will begin on 9th of December, and for 6th, 7th and 8th standard students, the exam will begin on 14th of December.
Half yearly exams ought to get wrapped up on or before 22nd of December. This will be followed by Christmas holidays, and there will be no change in half yearly holidays. However, schools need to function on Saturdays as well. This is to compensate with the number of holidays given for heavy rain showers. All teachers and students need to present at the school on all the following Saturdays. Especially, special classes will be taken to 10th and 12th standard students for compensating the holidays given so far.
