24 Schools in Chennai Declare Holiday Today

24 select schools in Chennai city have declared holiday today, the 26th November. And the rest of the schools are functioning as usual. The holidays started for Diwali festival and it kept continuing on and on due to severe rain showers. It has been almost two weeks since the holidays began. It is only now, today, that these schools and colleges are getting reopened.
The school management of all schools have instructed parents to give out boiled drinking water, umbrella or raincoat and other essential materials that ensure safety of their children. These are sent across as SMS.
