Rains in Southern districts: Normal life disrupted

There are heavy rains in Cauvery Delta regions and southern districts. Because of this people`s normal life is disrupted.
Since there are rains in Tuticorin district, water reservoirs are filling up. Rain water has entered in the houses located in the suburbs of Tuticorin Corporation and because of this people are very much affected. They are not able to come out of the house. The affected people have mentioned that the Corporation has not taken any action to remove the water stagnation.
There are also rains in Dindigul, Vathalagundu, Natham, Ottanchattiram and Palani in Dindigul districts. Water reservoirs are filling up due to continuous heavy rains. Because of this, the farmers are very happy. There is landslide in Kodaikanal and because of this the traffic was disrupted for more than one hour.
There was heavy thunder rains in Othakadai, Melur, Kottampatti, Melavalavu Keelavalavu and Idyapatti of Madurai Districts. Since the roads are flooded, the traffic is moving in snail speed.
There is also heavy downpour in Devakottai and Karaikudi in Sivaganga district. There were sporadic rains in the surrounding villages of Karaikudi. Because of this the roads were flooded.
Similarly in Tiruvarur District, normal life is disrupted because of rains. People are worried because many of the roads were damaged. Rain water has entered in some of the houses in Tiruvarur.
There is heavy downpour in Cauvery Delta districts. Especially in Thanjavur, the crops planted in thousands of acres are submerged in water and the farmers are worried if the rains continue, the crops will be destroyed.
