Heavy rains lashes in Tirupathi: Rain water enters Venkatachalapathi Temple

Since there is heavy rains in Tirupathi for the last few days, rain water entered in Venkatachalapathi temple. Water was removed with the help of fire department personnel.
 
Moreover there is also heavy downpour of rains in and around Tirupathi. Because of this normal life of people were disrupted. It is also understood that devotees are coming in less numbers.
 
Devotees who trekked in the Tirupathi hills were very badly affected due to severe cold.  Transport was also affected in many places because of landslides. Since there are continuous rains, water has entered in the houses that are located in low lying areas.
 
At this juncture, the Kalyani reservoir is now filled up to the brim after 20 years. Irrigation Department officials lifted two of its three spillway gates here on Sunday evening to release the excess waters.
