Tips to Upkeep the Glow on Your Skin This Winter

Posted on: 17/Nov/2015 3:12:52 PM
As the winter is setting in, we naturally tend to overeat and the chill air filling the space around will dry your skin out. How to stay fit with a glowing skin during this season? Here are few tips:

Never step out on an empty stomach:

If you don`t feel hungry, try to munch on a crispy apple or imbibe on a small serving of nutrition rich food so that you don`t feel hungry. You may choose to toss pieces of cottage cheese with yogurt and a homemade trial mix of pumpkin seeds, raw sunflower and dried cherries, dark chock chips, etc.

CTM Rule:

Compared to applying creams, you can better retain the moisture content of your skin by practicing cleaning, toning, and moisturizing. With the use of a good body scrub and facial exfoliant, you can get off the dead skin cells. Add drops of any essential bath oil for getting a nourished skin.

Don`t skip on what you really love to eat:

You may choose to eat what you really love without any hesitation. And never force yourself on foods that you completely hate. Eat, but you stop eating it as soon as you stop loving the food.

Keep moving on

Is regular form of exercise not working out for you? Well, you need not try it then. Instead of taking excuses, you may try what works for you. A ten minutes work amidst your work can do the magic.

 Homemade packs are best
If you have got oily skin, you can make use of tomato mask for your skin. Take a ripe tomato and mash it up. Apply this as a pack on your face and let it dry for about 10 to 15 minutes. Follow it with a nice rinse with lukewarm water.

If you have got dry skin, a banana mask will best suit you. Mash a ripe banana and add drops of honey to it. Apply this on your face and neck. Let it dry on your face for about 15 minutes.

Note that honey mask is good on all types of skins. It is important to choose fresh and pure honey. Leave it on your skin for about 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.
