2,800 vacancies in Group 4 services to be filled up by TNPSC

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Chairman C Balasubramaniam has mentioned that the notification for the 2,800 vacancies in Group 4 services will be soon issued.
The Government has requested the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission to fill up the 213 vacancies of Assistant Engineers in the Highway Department. The TNPSC made this notification as per the procedure. 27, 552 candidates have applied for these posts.
Yesterday the written examinations for those who have applied were conducted in 91 centres at Chennai, Chidambaram, Trichy, Thanjai, Kovai, Madurai and Tirunelveli. The engineering exam was conducted in the morning while the general knowledge exam took place in the afternoon.
TNPSC Chairman Balasubramaniam and Controller of Examinations Se Shobana made a surprise visit at the centre located in Chennai Egmore State Girls High School. After inspecting the centre, TNPSC Chairman Balasubramaniam while speaking to the media said, I inspected the centre where the examination for the post of Assistant Engineers (Highway Department) was conducted. The results for these examinations will be announced in two or three months. There are 800 vacancies of Village Administrative Officers. There are 1700 vacancies in Group 2 service. There will be no viva voce for these posts. Moreover, there are 2800 vacancies in Group 4 services. The notification for these recruitment will be issued one after the other during the last week of this month. The results for the Group 1 services will be announced soon. The main examinations for the Group 2 services have already been conducted. The results for this examination will be announced within a week. We will also be announcing the calendar of examinations for the forthcoming year.
