Prospects of wide-spread rain in Tamil Nadu & Puducherry

Chennai Meteorological Centre has announced that there will be wide-spread rains in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in the next 24 hours.
Chennai Meteorological centre Director, Mr. Ramanan informed the reporters that there would be wide-spread rains with thunder due the recently formed thermal convection.
Chennai would have a cloudy weather. Thiruvannamalai district has registered the maximum rainfall of 11 cm.
