In Mylapore Mundagkanni Amman temple, special prayers and poojas are to be performed throughout the month of Aadi. Sacred bands for Aadi festivals for other temples are sent from this temple. Hundreds of women will prepare pongal on Fridays. On the sacred day of Aadi Pooram, 1008 Flower Spraying festival will be celebrated.

Kalikambal Temple
In Kalikambal Temple located in Thambu Chetty St in Parry`s Corner, Swing festival will be performed on all Fridays from 23rd. On the sacred day of Aadi Kiruthigai, Milk Abhishekham will be performed for Lord Muruga.
