Malpractices found in over 150 petrol pumps across India

Owing to malpractices about 150 petrol pumps across India were made to shut down. Due to issues like adulteration and fault in measurement in few places, the license was also entirely terminated. This however was not an instant or all of a sudden decision. Officials have been involved in checking such irregularities for the past three years. Based on reports of the same, license of select fuel stations were terminated by the Oil Marketing Companies.

Shockingly, state run oil companies including Hindustan Petroleum, Bharat Petroleum and Indian Oil Corporation were also observed with signs of irregularities. There were varied other outlets that were guilty of such adulteration and faulty measurement of fuel.

States including Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Tamil Nadu among others were found to have maximum fuel stations with high malpractices. This move by the government is certainly a boon to all customers who have been directly or indirectly getting cheated. If this continues, the fuel stations’ license will be terminated and will not be allowed to continue functioning anymore.

If you have experienced any such malpractice, poor quality, or faulty measurement in fuel stations, kindly let us know through comments.
