CRISIL estimates Investment of Rs. 1 Lakh crores in wind power generation!!

CRISIL is a global analytical company providing ratings, research, risk and policy advisory services.
It has predicted that Over Rs. 1 Lakh crores to be invested in the alternative energy source of wind-power to set up wind-mill generators.
During the last 10 years, electricity generation from wind has increased 5 times in India.
As per the reports from March 2015, wind power generation has touched 25000 MW.
1 Unit of electrical energy from wind power sources sells at Rs. 4/- to Rs. 5.50. Such good prices may be the one of the reasons for the good growth in wind power generation sector.
Wind power generation has been increasing by 4000 MW each year. Hence, it can be expected that there will be 2 time increase in wind power generation in the next 5 years.
Thus, it may estimate that there may be an investment of up to Rs. 1 Lakh Crores.
Private sector contributes 60% of wind-power generation. 10 leading companies had 20% of the shares. They have invested Rs. 12000 crores in this sector.
As the perspective of the banks & funding agencies has changed now, more investment is likely. CRISIL also reports that the lending facilities of these agencies have increased now.
As per a report from 2013, China is the leader in wind-power generation. America & Germany occupy the 2nd & 3rd places. Spain is in the 4th place.
Another good aspect is that the extent of cost aspect in setting up wind-power & solar power generation has come down reasonably. Hence more wind-power & solar power projects have come up.
Investors in this sector have been encouraged by the financial support extended by state & central governments.
