There are some useful suggestions to prevent snoring - a habit everyone finds disgusting

It generally appears as though the people who snore while sleeping are enjoying a ‘sound’ sleep. However, the habit of snoring takes a toll on them! It would lead to breathing difficulties. It would be a nuisance to those who sleep nearby. There is a temporary block in the breathing line. As exhalation is done releasing air through this temporary block, different types of sounds are generated!

This is the sound recognized by us as snoring. Snoring may occur due to obesity, blocks in the breathing line through allergies and cold. However, it is advisable to avoid sleeping tablets or any medicine to cure allergy. Lying flat on the back may be one of the reasons for snoring. Sleeping lying on one side or with chest on the bed will prevent snoring.

A suggestion is going to bed an hour early or an hour late from the usual time. Having additional pillows below the head can also prevent snoring.

However, persistent snoring would require medical consultation. Snoring may lead to severe breathing problems. Snoring also leads to erratic heartbeat.

Even headaches may occur. It may lead to high blood pressure as well. Snoring individuals who wear dentures will have to better remove them before going to sleep.

Doing regular physical exercises and reducing excessive body weight may gradually reduce snoring. If you have excess weight, it has definite link with snoring! Hence, reducing excess weight will pave the way to get rid of snoring.
