21 unauthorised universities in India

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has said that upto 21 universities in the country are running without proper authorisation.
The UGC released a list of fake universities in India. Out of the 21, the maximum number at 8 are in Uttar Pradesh. One each are present in the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar and West Bengal.
Notices from the UGC have been sent to all 21 universities and it has been announced that degrees will not be given to students studying in them.
