New app to help electricity consumers

A new app called Energyly has been created to help electricity consumers who are worried about the high power consumption. This app will help the consumers to bring down the power consumption. It is also mentioned that the application also provides data of energy consumption pattern of a consumer having Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) connection.
All the customer has to do is feed in the consumer number and the data of energy consumed over the years would be generated. This app can find the energy that could be saved by efficient use of the electrical appliances through a simulated, energy management tool that provides the ‘switches on/off’ option for various appliances.
For those who do not have a consumer number, the app could be accessed by clicking ‘Add Test Number’. Tangedco has an energy calculator to find the tariff calculator for Low Tension (LT) consumers on its website www.tangedco.gov.in.
