Latest high-speed servers for getting e-tickets (train journey) faster!!

IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) has procured 5 latest servers from Singapore to facilitate faster issue of ‘e-tickets’ for the benefit of the passengers.
There is a trend of phenomenal ‘every-day’ increase in the number passengers travelling by train. Hence, it has become quite difficult to get a ticket reserved in advance. Passengers undergo severe hardships especially during the festival seasons and weekends while trying to procure train tickets.
Even the recently introduced ‘Tatkal system’ with additional fares is difficult to get.
The main reason for this attributed to the servers being very slow. In order to overcome this problem, IRCTC has now procured 5 servers of latest technology and high speed from Singapore.
IRCTC Chairman & Managing Director, Mr. A K Manocha informed this.
