Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa inaugurates nine new revenue divisions

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa inaugurated nine new taluks with headquarters at Kalayarkoyil (Sivaganga dt), Vembakkam and Sethupattu (Tiruvannamalai dt), Pethanaickenpalayam (Salem dt), Bhuvanagiri (Cuddalore dt), Walajabad (Kancheepuram dt), Marakkanam (Villupuram dt), Kadayanallur (Tirunelveli dt) and Senthamangalam (Namakkal dt).
She also inaugurated the Thanjavur District Collector office master plan complex (Rs 30.46 crore), Cuddalore District Collector office master plan complex (Rs 24.46 crore), Rs 1.10 crore worth Revenue Division Officer at Tambaram, 15 Tahsildar office buildings and other projects.
Jayalalithaa declared open bridges and buildings constructed at a cost Rs 388.87 crore across the State, through video conferencing from the Secretariat here. She inaugurated nine railway overbridges, three railway underpasses and 59 other bridges, apart from buildings of Highways and Minor Ports department. The bridges inaugurated are located at Vellore, Salem, Namakkal, Niligiris, Tirupur, Trichy, Perambalur, Dindigul and other areas.
Housing Minister R Vaithilingam, Revenue Minister RB Udayakumar, Chief Secretary K Gnanadesikan and senior officials were present on the occasion.
