Aadhar camps to be organised for 65 lakh school students from 5th May!

Special camps are being organised in Tamil Nadu for persons without Aadhar card with taking photos and registration of details.

With the Aadhar card distribution nearing completion, only 69% people in Chennai have received Aadhar cards.

Similarly, out of the 1.2 Crores students (boys & girls) in Tamil Nadu, Aadhar cards have been issued only to 30 to 40 Lakh students. Another 65 lakh students are yet to receive Aadhar cards.

The department of School Education has now organised to conduct Aadhar camps in the schools. The school authorities have approached the revenue department to organise special Aadhar camps.

Revenue Department have decided to conduct special Aadhar camps after 3rd May.

In the initial phase, camps will be conducted at the schools in Krishnagiri District.

After that, the camps will be conducted in other districts and then in Chennai district schools.

By giving the students individual Aadhar cards, it will facilitate the Aadhar card data to be linked to Department of School Education Management.
