Mild earth tremors in Chennai & Puducherry - Public Panic!

Following the heavy earthquake felt in Delhi and other North Indian cities, the tremors were mildly felt at Chennai & Puducherry.
The earthquake was first felt in Nepal and later in Delhi and a few places in North India.
The tremor was registered at 7.4 Richter. In Delhi, it was felt for 45 seconds.
The people in Chennai also felt the mild tremors at 11.30 AM.
It was felt in a few places in Chennai city such as Parry’s Corner, Kodambakkam, and T Nagar. People reported that it lasted only a few seconds.
Even through the tremors felt were rather mild, people working in T Nagar offices left their offices and came out.
No material damage has been reported so far.
The mild tremors were felt at Puducherry as well. Buildings located in Gandhi street shook lightly.
Some items kept in shops fell out. The shop employees ran out of the shops into the streets.
It is notable that the tremors experienced in Delhi and a few other place in North India echoed here in South in Chennai & Puducherry!
