Petrol, diesel prices slashed

Petrol prices have been slashed by 80 paise per litre and diesel by Rs 1.30 per litre.
The new rates would be effective from April 16.
After the cut, petrol will cost Rs 61.90 a litre in Chennai and diesel will be available Rs 50.21 a litre.
