Price of beans go up

In a single day, the price of beans went up Rs 15 at Koyambedu Wholesale Vegetable Market. On Saturday, beans were sold between Rs 30 to Rs 35 but on the Sunday the prices of beans went up by Rs 15. Now the beans are being sold for Rs 50 per kilo. Other vegetables prices are stable.
Beans production has come down and hence the supply to Koyambedu Market has decreased. This the reason for the price hikes. One of the merchant sent, the prices of other vegetables are also to go up on occasion of Tamil New Year’s Day.
