One Rupee (Re. 1/-) currency note being reintroduced!

Reserve Bank of India has announced that 1 Rupee currency notes will be released shortly in circulation.
RBI’s notification informs that these 1 rupee notes will be printed by the central government for circulation under the 2011 Coins Act.
It is understood that the notes will be in green & pink colour combination.It will bear the sign of the Finance Department Secretary, Mr. Rajiv Maharishi.
The printing of 1 Rupee note was stopped in 1994. The printing of 2 Rupees & 5 Rupees notes was stopped in 1995.
Now, the printing of 1 Rupee note has been restarted.
