Election Commission Order: all voters must submit Aadhar Card No. & e-mail id!

Indian Election Commission has ordered that every voter must submit Aadhar card number & e-mail id.
Tamil Nadu Chief Election Officer, Mr. Sandeep Saxena, informed:
Indian Election Commission has decided to bring out a national plan to make an error-free list/data of voters’ list.
The project, known as ‘Voters’ renewal and approval plan’, is to be implemented from 3rd March.
The main purpose of the project is to offer the voters to voluntarily come out with details whether their names are included in more than one address and give them an application to correct this.
In order to maintain a smooth, fast & simple communication regarding election related issues, the voter must provide Aadhar card number, cell phone number, and e-mail address.
Special camps will be organised for the execution of this plan.
These camps will be conducted from 12th April till July every month. The voters who have their names registered in more than one location will have to fill up Form 7 and submit.
If some information has to be changed, they have to fill up Form 8 and submit.
IF the voter wants to change his old photo given earlier, he/she can submit the new photo.
All voters MUST give their Aadhar card number, cell phone number, landline number, and e-mail address.
Voters registration officers and assistant officers will be available in the camp. They will receive the filled up forms (7 & 8).. They will take a decision within 15 days whether any enquiry is required.
It is illegal to have the voter’s name registered in more than one location. This is an opportunity to correct this mistake and voters must utilise this to carry out corrections. This will ensure error-free election.
