Bank Holidays increased!

It has been announced that the 2nd & 4th Saturdays of every month will be holidays for the banks.
The banks have announced that the banks will work full day on the 1st & 3rd Saturdays of every month.
This decision was taken following the discussions between Banks’ Association & the Bank Employees’ Unions Association.
The General Secretary of the Banks’ Association, Mr. Venkatachalam, informed that the news has been forwarded to the Reserve Bank of India.
After the RBI approval, this system will come into effect.
Following the request from the Banks’ Association to work only 5 days in a week, the action has been taken to declare that the 2nd & 4th Saturday of every month will be holidays.
Apart from this, the banks won’t function on Sundays and other National holidays as usual.
