722 persons caught on vehicle inspection raid!

Police conducted vehicle tests for the occasion of Republic Day in several; places in the city day-before-yesterday (24th January). As a preventive measure, 722 persons were arrested.
Republic Day is celebrated in a festive & grand mood throughout the country today (26th January).
Police have taken precautionary measure to avoid any untoward incidents.
As a part of the preventive measures, a special squad of police conducted vehicle-checks in several parts of the city. 722 persons were arrested on suspicion.
Cases have been booked for 76 persons for drunken driving.
