Training on technological facilities: State Bank of India starts 22 centres in Tamil Nadu!

22 training centres have been opened by the State Bank of India to provide its customers training on various technology aspects such as internet banking & mobile banking.

Chief General Manager, Mr. P S Prakash Rao, informed:

SBI has 4000 ATM centres and 400 payment counters throughout Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry.

State Bank of India has been introducing latest technological facility for its customers to to simplify transactions as well as reduce the waiting time. SBI has now decided to impart training to its customers on these faculties.

So, 385 training centres have been opened all over India and 22 in Tamil Nadu. RBI Deputy Governor, Mr. H R Khan, inaugurated.

Customers will be given free training for 2 hours from 4.00 PM till 6.00 PM on every 3rd Friday of the month.

The procedure for internet banking, mobile banking, and handling payment counters will be explained.

This training will facilitate the customers to visit SBI’s ‘E-service ‘ centres and do their transactions. Also, all doubts regarding these electronic procedures will be cleared during this training.

4000 modern ATM machines are to be installed before March 2015.

Apart from cash withdrawals, these ATMs will also facilitate payments.

There are 10 ‘Swayam’ printing machines located in Tamil Nadu to print passbooks based on bar-code. More such centres will be opened.

100 branches are scheduled to be started in Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry under the Prime Minister’s Jandhan scheme.
