Remittances from NRIs up by 70%!

Posted on: 19/Dec/2014 1:02:21 PM
The remittances from NRIs (Non-Resident Indians) working abroad to their families has shown an increasing trend over the last few days.

The main reason for this spurt in remittance is the depreciation of Indian Rupee against the US $. The NRIs want to take the maximum benefit as they can send dollars which have appreciated against the Rupee.

The traders in money-exchange have also pointed to the same aspect.

Foreign Exchange Trading Agencies have reported that there has been an increase by 70% on remittances from NRIs.
