Instant Activation of Mobile Connections

Central Government has planned to introduce a new scheme which will enable consumers to use Sim Cards immediately after purchase. Details of consumers who have applied for sim cards will be compared with their Aadhaar card details from the website of NIC Commission and instant activation will be granted. This scheme is going to be implemented as a testing process in select five regions of Tele-Communications. If this gets successful in these areas, it will later be introduced all over the country.
At present, new sim card buyers have to wait for few days to get their account activated and this delay is due to the verification procedures that have to be made before issuing mobile connections.
