Scholarship for students pursuing higher education in England increased!

British Deputy High Commissioner Mr. Bharath Joshi talked to the reporters:

He informed that the visa formalities for visiting England have been simplified.

It is advisable to apply visa on-line.

Around 91% applications for visa is approved.

The balance 9% is rejected because of various reasons.

English Universities have been offering scholarships valued at Rs. 10 Crores to the Indian students pursuing under-graduate & post-graduate courses in England. This scholarship amount has now been raised to Rs. 15 Crores.

750 students are to be selected during the next academic year.

An exhibition for the students wishing to pursue higher education in England will be conducted at Le Royal Meridian in Chennai on 7th February.

Detailed information on various courses will be presented.

He also informed that his country welcomes the decision to raise the FDI on the insurance sector.
