World Bank states that the issue of global warming stands as a hurdle in taking necessary steps to eradicate poverty.
In a recent report from the World Bank, it is said that there will be significant reduction in production of grains and huge increase in water scarcity due to global warming. It also adds that there will be enormous increase in poverty across the globe when the average temperature rises from 1.5 degree to 2 degree. The World Bank firmly stresses the fact that we ought to take immediate action to prevent such a worse condition. It concludes saying that the efforts taken to reduce the gap between the rich and poor is getting significantly affected due to global warming.
